My daughter wants to either do a project about making a battery out of a lemon or testing the strength of egg shells by walking on them?
We are completely stumped for names. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Catchy name for science fair project
Tigerlily,
Thank you for consulting the Science Buddies forum.
There are multiple ways to approach naming your science fair project. There's the "pure pun" kind of name, there's the "sounds interesting" variety, and there's the scientific naming convention.
Here are a few suggestions for each:
Puns:
Lemony Circuit (Play on Lemony Snicket, an author of fine children's books)
They Were Egg-spired, Anyway
An Egg Above the Rest
Citrus Battery: A Lemon-stration
And the triple-whopper:
An Egg-shell-ent Disc-oeuf-ery <-- Probably too obnoxious, but it's an idea.
"Sounds interesting":
Citrusy Circuitry
Scrambled Architecture
Is Lemonade Actually Powerade?
Scientific naming convention:
What is the affect of altering (independent variable) on (dependent variable)?
How does (independent variable) impact (dependent variable)?
What is the correlation between (independent variable) and (dependent variable)?
I'm quite proud of a few of those.
Hopefully, your daughter finds something she likes. If not, I hope that I have at least inspired you.
Let me know if you have any other questions,

Re: Catchy name for science fair project
Hi there Tigerlily,
My colleague had some amazingly good ideas. I would just put out there that the format most standard for fair projects is:
Catchy title: informative title about the project
This certainly doesn't rule out any of the suggestions put forward. Just wanting to put in the information on HOW a title is commonly crafted.
Good luck to you and your daughter with the project. Have tons of fun.
