Gravity Sickness

Post by kiwi1620 »

In the novel The age of Miracles there is this thing called ¨Gravity
Sickness¨. A bit of background information about this book is that the earth
has started to slow itś spinning and itś known as ¨The slowing¨. It makes
gravity more dense and makes the days grow in hours so there is no longer
just 24 hours in a day.

My question to you is: What do you believe is the cause of gravity sickness?
Do you think this is mental or an actual effect on the body?

In the novel it talks about people becoming suicidal, fainting, dizziness,
nausea, and young children bleeding from their gums.

If you have time, I would love if you could answer this question for me?
Thank you for reading this far.

Hello. This forum is to help grade school students with their projects.

Is this question part of a science project? If so, tell us more about it. If not, there are other forums more appropriate for your question.

Thanks.

Yes, we are supposed to explain what we believe Gravity sickness really is, using real science. Our teacher said that we could ask anyone we need to get the most accurate results...

This sounds like a research paper, and not a scientific experiment, which is what this forum is for. There are other forums more appropriate for your questions. As a start, I will try to point you in the right direction.

Gravity is a crucial contributor to our spacial awareness. The human body has adapted to the Earth's gravity. Change that, by going to outer space or the earth's gravity changing by changing the speed of the Earth's rotation, and the human body will feel off balance, causing a variety of symptoms.

I recommend you research space sickness and spatial orientation as a start.

Good luck!
