science fair
hey science buddies I'M just finishing up my school science fair and i'm confused? what do you call something that could mess up your expariment ex. im tessting will diffrent brands of baseballs fly farther then others and im launcing them out of a homemade catipault. a facter that could change my expreiment is wind what would i call the wind which would chanage my expreiment

I believe the word you are looking for is "confounding variable." Essentially, confounding variables are factors in an experiment which could also change your dependent variable and result in biased results.
