Smart Dustbin

Post by HuyRisk »

Hello Mr.Expert, we are wondering how to make a smart dustbin using a sensor to divide into 2 kind of trash: Recycle and Non-Recycle trash. With a low budget, can you help us please :D

HuyRisk - I understand your project goal, but to perform the task of separating 'recycle' and 'non-recycle' trash is a big challenge. Recyclable trash can consist of glass, certain plastics, paper, cardboard, metal cans and other material. It would be difficult to create a sensor capable of evaluating these materials and making a decision to put them in bin A or B. There are too many variables and attributes for these recyclable materials. Perhaps a more simple sort would be to separate ferrous metal from non-metal materials where a simple magnet could help make the sorting decision. Good luck in your experiment.

Hi HuyRisk,

Sorry this is a little late, but science buddies has a project related to this topic you might be interested in, similar to what Rick suggested, that can be done with a low budget: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p046.shtml
