Genes, Chromosomes and DNA

Post by madscientist2000 »

I am really confused about this topic. :?
Is it correct to say that one molecule of DNA is a chromosome and a section of a chromosome is a gene? Therefore a gene is a section of one molecule of DNA? :?:
Thanks :)

Hi,
I think you are on the right track.
DNA is a molecule that carries genetic information. DNA is made up of amino acids (A,T,C,G) DNA makes genes. Chromosomes are made up of genes.

Hope that helps
