Creating a Steam Turbine

Post by wildflower0298 »

I`m hoping to create a steam turbine to power a small light bulb. I was planning to heat water and create steam and then force it through the turbine which in turn would create the electricity to light 1 small light bulb. I am unsure as to how to build a simple enough turbine and how to pressurize the steam in order to get enough energy to turn the steam turbine. Any suggestions, thanks!

Hi wildflower0298,
Welcome to Science Buddies!

Here's a link to a Science Buddies project exploring geothermal heat. This might give you some ideas for how to build a simple steam turbine that might just work for your project.
