Confused About Glide Ratios!

Post by bridiehunter »

If we us an angle of 5 degrees, a camber of 5% chord, and thickness of 10% chord, for a wing of size Chord 10cm and span of 1.5m, approximately what glide ratio would we expect? If we want our glider to travel 150m, what is the minimum height the glider should start from, and why? (take your time, investigate, consider, write your answer to the first part then justify it).

Hello BridieHunter,
Are you doing a science project on gliders? If so, please tell us more about the design of your project.
This forum is for students in grades K-12 who are doing science projects, not to solve your homework problems. Thank you.
