Earthquake App with Seismic Wave Sensor to detect incoming earthquakes in the philippines

Post by booksandstuff1 »

Good Evening Sir? Ma'am,
I am a science curriculum student of the Philippines and me and my team want to build or rather program an earthquake warner app for our entry for the upcoming Science Fair and Quests. We have some ideas how it can work but we do not know the full methods of it and what materials we should need and how much it costs. Will you help us?
Thank you so much...

Sincerely,
Ada Bahian

Hi Ada,

Sorry for the long delay answering your post.

There is a Science Buddies project in which you build and test a seismograph. You may find the information regarding this project useful:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ph#summary

Also you may be interested in the following article describing the use of mobile networks to detect quakes:

I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Please post again if you have more questions.
