Servo Motors

Post by gazelada »

For the Interactive Art Project in your web page, is there a way we can change the speed of movement of the arms other than adding weight? we would like to change the speed by using the servo motor itself. Thanks!

gazelada - This type of servo motor uses a pulsed signal to operate. The 555 IC is wired to be a pulse generator. You might find that changing the value of R5 might give you some speed control or the servo motor. Make small changes in the order of 82K-120K ohms to experiment. The servo is not capable of a wide range of speeds, so there might be some trade-offs you will experience in speed and torque.
