Question about Generate Electricity with a Lemon Battery activity

Post by Leilaorton13 »

On the lemon energy experiment is there a way that I can measure that amount of electricity and then compare it with the electricity from other fruits and vegetables?

Or just something I could measure.

Hello,

This sounds like a fun project! You could use a tool called a multimeter to measure the amount of electricity produced by your lemon and use this to compare to other fruits and vegetables.

Here's a very similar project that describes how to use a multimeter: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... to-battery

Good luck,

Hi - just chiming in, I assume you were referring to this version of the project on our website:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/stem-act ... on-battery

The "activities" on our site are just for fun, and usually do not include formal variables and measurements like you would need for a science project. The actual science projects (like the one Audrey linked) always have something you can measure. Many times we do have similar versions for both types of project, but make sure you are looking at a science project and not an activity if you need it for a science fair.
