Measuring Skyglow with a Digital Camera

Hi there!
So, recently I have begun this project. I was wondering how should the skyglow photos come out? Like what should they sort of look like. Also, I am having difficulty downloading imageJ and have no clue why. Is there any other program I can download or can someone help me download it?
Thank you!

Hello paulanordstrom,

A photo of the night sky taken in a very dark location will have some stars visible against a black background. A photo taken in a location with a lot of skyglow will have a lighter background and you’ll see fewer stars, if any.

I’m not aware of another image analysis program that you could download instead of imageJ.

I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
