The Bloodhound SSC needs to accelerate over a short distance and then slow down within an equally short distance.
1. Explain how the car will reach the desired final velocity.
- Different mechanisms to accelerate and the reason for their order
- Application of newton's second law during the acceleration stage
- Major practical obstacles during this stage.

2. Explain how the car will stop before the end of the runway.
- Different mechanisms to accelerate and the reason for their order.
- Application of newton's second law during the acceleration stage.
- Major practical obstacles during this stage

Mophule,

Welcome to the forum. I'm assuming you are talking about the Bloodhound project 1000 mph rocket car. Information about this project can be found at http://www.bloodhoundssc.com/project

Unfortunately, this forum is for helping and providing advice for science fair projects. Your questions look like homework questions. You'll need to do some research first before coming to us for help.

That being said, your questions seem to be about Newton's 2nd law of motion which says that acceleration is dependent on the net force acting on an object and the mass of that object. Acceleration = Force/mass thus says that the thrust from the hybrid rockets and jet engine minus the drag forces is the net force divided by the mass of the car to give the acceleration.
