How to make a Metal Detector

Postby jaivk1802 » Sat May 26, 2012 6:02 am

I want to make a metal detector(which must be relatively simple to understand) and i have also seen some techniques to make it(with a radio and a calculator) but i want to ask that is there any way that the metal detector can be made without using the AM radio and the calculator as a whole?
PS: I am asking this because i want the project to look genuine and completely homemade with no ready-made accessories

Please reply fast(I have to submit the project by 6th June)

As there are various types of metal detectors sold in the market, it is really a little difficult to decide which one to choose. However, I personally like the waterproof metal detectors very much in that they can be used in ordinary occasions for metal detecting and also used at beach. It occupies the common functions of most other metal detectors, so i think it is a good choice if you are looking for a gold detector.
