Quantitative Means of Measuring Lip Balm Quality

Post by scholar91 »

I have created a lip balm using the chemistry project suggested from science buddies. My teacher is requiring me to find quantitative means of measuring my lip balm. Someone suggested a refractometer. But I can't find someone who will let me use one. Is there any of the method I can use to measure the quality of lip balm.

Hi!
The methods of measuring lip balm can get pretty complicated and will most likely require sophisticated technology, such as the one found in the link below-

It also might be helpful to look up specific properties of lip balm which may indicate quality (ex. opaqueness). Hope this helps!
