I recently have become interested into Cryptography. It is a very interesting subject, extremely math and computer science related.
What are some of the most important unanswered questions about it? Are some of them mathematical problems, such as how primes are distributed? The discrete logarithm problem?

Pati,
Have you done any research on your own, such as these google searches ?:
- Code: Select all
unsolved problems in cryptography
- Code: Select all
"science fair" "problems in cryptography"
- Code: Select all
cryptography science fair projects
There's quite a lot of info out there, more than we can describe here. Please keep us posted on what you're thinking.
Good luck!

One of the most important areas of computer security is to prevent hacking; there seems to be a never-ending battle between security personnel and hackers on maintaining computers secure. Suggest that you examine the practical effects of this in your project.
Good luck.
