What is the maximum force that can activate an electrical circuit without breaking it?

Electrical switches are made in many, many different sizes, shapes, and requiring a wide range of activating forces. You can browse http://www.mouser.com/Electromechanical/Switches/_/N-5g2h/ to see some of the different types.
