Which foods do not change blood glucose levels drastically and thus, are considered safe for diabetic patients to consume?
This is my sub question for my science fair and I was wondering if you could help me answer it because I couldn't find an answer for it. So I decided to ask an expert. Please help!
Thank You!

Hi ,
Welcome to Science Buddies! You have picked a great topic for a science project. For your question, you should do a search for "glycemic index" or "glycemic load." This should give you a large number of sites like the following with specific information on foods that are safe (and less safe) for diabetics to consume.
http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitnes ... foods.htmlThe following website includes the glycemic load number and other nutritional information for a wide variety of foods:
