Do you love to listen to your MP3 player while you're exercising, or listen to songs on the Internet? The relatively recent development of MP3 technology has made it possible to take a stack of CD's and store them on a device no bigger than a deck of cards. How does the MP3 format squeeze all those CD's down so well, and can it go too far? Try this music science fair project to find out!

How to power an mp3 using two sweet potatoes
How to power an mp3 using two sweet potatoes
I was wondering if someone can help with this project. I saw it online in a website that provided the step by step process. However, I'm almost about to turn in the project. It's not working and as I continue to research, I went into a website that had feedback that the mp3 sweet potatoe powered project does not really work. I'm almost on my deadline, and I'm worried that I wasted my time on something…

Ideas for Audio Compression-related Project?
Ideas for Audio Compression-related Project?
Hi, I would like to conduct a scientific investigation involving audio compression and audio file formats like mp3, wav, etc. I read over the project "MP3 Squeeze" (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas/Music_p025.shtml), but I would like to do something less subjective and more advanced--also, something that uses the Audacity audio manipulator.

Sound Quality Measurement
Sound Quality Measurement
I would like to do the experiment "MP3 Squeeze: How Much Compression is Too Much?" but I need to figure out how to determine the results using quantitative means instead of my own opinion. How do you measure sound quality with numbers? I was thinking of using Audacity, but I am not sure what the units of measurement would be. Any help would be appreciated.
