April 13, 2019: Judges Needed for the California Invention Convention

120+ volunteers needed for this one day event!

Science Buddies is partnering with the California Invention Convention where young inventors, from grades 2–6 and from schools throughout California, come together to show off their inventions and be celebrated for their creative problem solving. Each inventor identified a problem in his/her own life— and using a disciplined process aligned with Next Generation Science Standards— developed a prototype solution to the problem. Each solution is a real-world practical invention of the student's own design.

Volunteer as a Judge:
Students have worked hard to create their inventions and judges are needed to meet these young inventors, give them feedback as well as encouragement for the work they have done. It's your chance to make a positive difference to a young inventor. You don't need a STEM background to volunteer as a judge. If you are passionate about helping students learn, enabling their inquisitive and creative nature, or just love kids and innovation— you're the perfect person to get involved.

Judging takes place on April 13 from 8am to noon.
