Super Bowl Science / Kicking experiment using a model built with the Ping Pong Catapult kit

Super Bowl Sunday is coming up in a few short weeks (February 7, 2016). The teams that will take the field for Super Bowl 50 have not been named, but the science behind perfect spirals and successful field goals is something students can talk about and explore in advance of the big game.

The following project ideas and resources help teachers and parents connect student interest in football to science, technology, engineering, and math.
