Researchers from the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania, are developing an artificial bone, which can be used for treating one of the most common joint diseases -- osteoarthritis. The bi-functional composite imitates the complex osteochondral structure of a joint, i.e. both cartilage and bone tissues. Read more
