Pressure Vessel question.

Hello,

I have a small engine I would like to rebuild. It's a single cylinder air cooler engine originally designed for a pump. The engine is seized, replacing the engine would greatly reduce the value. So we tried penetrating oil to no avail.

I had an idea but am not sure about the science behind the process. If we could find a pressure vessel big enough to place the engine inside, fill the vessel with penetrating oil and pressurize it, would that force the oil into places that normally wouldn't be reached?

064c9267ad2b4837a094d0a975b48766 - Penetrating oil is very good at reaching any interfaces, no matter how small. My concern is that the seized condition has actually created a metal-to-metal bond similar to 'stir' or 'friction welding'. Subjecting the parts to a high pressure oil treatment is not likely to work. Good luck with other mechanical attempts to break the piston or bearings loose.
