Which is better for making a paper roller coaster, card stock or copy paper? And if it's card stock, which weight is best?

Hi - You may find that cardstock will work better than regular printer paper. The Lesson Plan version of this activity also suggests cardstock (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/teacher- ... #materials).
