Graphic display of death rate

Post by HBrownell »

Having the economic output, infection, and death indices presented together in a single graphic is very effective. However, the changes in death rate appear small in comparison to the others due to the scales. Would it be possible to include an alternative graphing option for death rates that emphasizes changes on that index?

When teaching statistics, I try to show how the same data can be displayed differently to encourage or discourage a particular conclusion. It would be nice to be able to toggle back and forth between different ways of displaying death data to make the changes in death rate seem more or less salient.

Thanks,

Actually, this is something that we were thinking about before we went live. We're using a third-party module to plot the graphs, and we are exploring what might be possible. Our objective is to have some kind of solution soon.

Thanks,

The 2020/05/01 release includes a Zoom In / Zoom Out feature on graphs. Additionally, hovering over the graph has an improved readout of values.
