Hello, Amit!

The project description gives a suggestion that you use QBASIC to write a computer program that can play the game Hi/Lo. You can use that suggestion as the thing you should make for the project or you can come up with your own idea for what to make.

It is important that you come up with a question to answer for your project. All scientific investigation is focued on answering questions - how things work, how outcomes change when inputs are varied, proving a hypothesis, and so on.

The project description poses a question for you to answer: Does "card counting" increase your probability of winning the Hi/Lo game? I think that you should either adopt this question or come up with your own. Having a question to answer will help you determine what to do.

Best wishes for success in your project.

Hi Amit:

Since you know the approach to the HiLo for your project, here's something for your programming:

http://www.libertybasicuniversity.com/l ... LO.BAS.htm

This should help you to put together a starting point for your programming basic. Modify the code until it best suits your needs.

I was unable to follow the link to http://www.libertybasicuniversity.com
Is this just my system, or are others having the problem?

I also tried finding the site, via google, and got back to libertybasicuniversity.com So no new leads.

I also tried libertybasicuniversity.edu No luck.

Please help! Is my system just misconfigured?
Cheers!

No, you're not the only one. The server to that site was down for the the past day for renovation. Here's an alternative download site:

http://www.runbasic.com/?_page=examples

Hope these help.
