Other Science Fairs

I was wondering what are some other science fairs in the US this year/

Please Exclude ISEF, STS, and ISWEEEP

You should go to Science Buddies Home page and check out he competitions tab, Here is their list of Science Fair Competitions: ... fair.shtml

You might want to search google for Chemistry, Biology or Physics Olympiads, as there are competitive examinations leading to national and international competitions. Winning even locally can lead to an expense paid trip to a science camp and competition and possibly a trip to a foreign country for an international competition. These look like they could be REALLY FUN, and possibly provide a chance at a merit scholarship to excellent colleges/universities.

Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (
• Utah is in the Intermountain Region (includes Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Nevada and Utah)
• Dates: March 4-7, 2009

• Top prize at national level $16,000
• Life/environmental sciences emphasis
Davidson Fellows (
• Top prize $50,000
• Categories: Mathematics, Science, Literature, Music, Technology, Philosophy and Outside the Box
• Deadline: March 4; preliminary form due 2/11
• No group projects
• Submission varies by category but includes a 15 minutes DVD
Siemens Competition (
• Top prize $100,000
• Deadlines for 2009 not yet available
• Only seniors can submit individual projects, but teams can be of any age.
• Judging based on technical paper
Young Naturalist Awards ( ... listawards)
• Cash award of ???
• Deadline March 2
• Grades 7-12 eligible
• Findings presented in a narrative essay
• Categories: Biology, Earth science, Ecology, and Astronomy
USA Today All-USA Academic High School Team
