lactic acid

hi ,

i've a question about lactic acid in sour milk. It is a known fact that lactabacillus spp. bacteria ferments the milk sugar, lactose, in to lactic acid. My question is how can one isolate the lactic acid from the sour milk and purify it. I seek help.
