Science Fair - Safe to grow bacteria?
Hello. My son would like to grow bacteria in Petri dishes by testing a number of different materials for his science fair project. His question is “Is raw milk safe?”. We are testing raw milk from two different farms, two different brands of pasteurized milk, raw chicken, his cheek, and may add more to that list since we bought pre-made Petri dishes. My question is if there is any concern of growing bacteria and we inadvertently create a dangerous situation?? We have a brooder lamp to keep the temp around 85 degrees and will be keeping the Petri dishes in ziploc bags. Thanks!
