Double rainbows

Post by bethers »

My seven year old took a photo of a double rainbow and noticed the colors appear reversed on the secondary bow. She wants to know why. She also wants to turn this into an experiment for her science fair. I'm not really sure how to translate her question into an experiment that we can replicate for the fair. Any guidance much appreciated!!!

Hey!

That sounds so interesting! Perhaps you could do an experiment about the science behind rainbows? How light reflects the colors? I think that the hardest part of that experiment would be testing it. I'm not sure how that would be feasible. I hope this helps
