Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Can you direct me to articles/resources that would give information on whether there would be varying amounts of magnetite in soil samples from various regions, what would cause differences in various regions, if there are sometimes samples that have no magnetite detected in them, etc?

If you (or your child) are working on a science project, please provide more details about the science project, including the hypotheses and how you plan to conduct experiments to test the hypotheses.
