question for parents

Post by immy001 »

Hi, a question for parents
how to help a child, but not to do a project instead of him and not worry about the result?
Do you have your way?

Hi - These forums are mostly geared toward specific questions about projects and activities you may be doing with your student -- or that students are doing alone.

You might find this post helpful in thinking about the parental role in a student's project, although this speaks more to school projects (versus at-home family activities):

You may also want to look at posts in this recent Doing Science at Home series. The author (VP of STEM Education at Science Buddies) talks in each post about how she approached the activity with her students and how she scaled the activity, when necessary, to work for their ages. Her approach offers a good look at students leading and doing the activities.
