Postby kpeters » Tue Sep 26, 2017 11:39 am

HI Does anyone know if conducting this project for Science Fair is considered to be using 'Potentially Hazardous Biological Agents and requires that it be done in a safe lab? Thanks!

Hi and welcome to Scibuddies.

The project uses commercial baker's yeast as the test organism so there should be no safety issues or lab requirements. Check with your school or science fair coordinator just to be sure.

This is a fun project! Let us know if you have any questions about setting up the apparatus to collect and measure carbon dioxide production.

Good luck!
