artificial sweeteners and planaria

Hi Science Buddies,
I am contemplating a science project: The effects of artificial sweeteners on the regeneration of planaria. I wanted to compare aspartame, sucralose, saccharin and sugar in relation to just spring water. I don't know what concentrations to use in the experiment. I also am not sure what hypothesis to use or potential conclusion I can make as it refers to humans . Please help.

Hello Pkjr,

You might browse through the Science Buddies science project, searching for projects which involve artificial sweeteners. Most of the Science Buddies projects give the links to several scientific reports. Reviewing these might help you select a range of concentrations to test.

As for selecting your hypothesis, I suggest that you review the project guidelines, which includes a section on hypotheses and also a section discussing controls, dependent, and independent variables:
