Plants to use in greywater experiment

Hi. I am going to do the "Recycling Greywater: Can Plants Tolerate It?" but haven't been able to find an answer to this question. The original experiment in 2007 used vegetables but my research tells me that greywater should not be used (in real life) for vegetables. I want to do the experiment using plants that you could water with greywater in real life so that I can answer the question of whether people in areas of frequent drought (who still for some reason water their lawns a lot) can use greywater in place of fresh water to do that - what plants can I grow inside in pots that would also be used in landscaping? I have found lists of ornamental plants but I can't find any resources for how to pick a plant that can be grown (at least for a month or so) inside in a pot but also works in a lawn. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.

[Administrator note: The project can be found here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... background -- Please note that the Science Buddies project is about testing greywater on ornamental plants, not vegetables.]

Hi,

This website has some information about watering with grey water. It gives you a guide on how to do it, what types of plants to use, and which plants should not be used.

Hi,
To add on to the previous post, I found a lot of good information about grey water usage and good plants to use when doing this experiment here:https://greywateraction.org/greywater-c ... rrigating/

Hope your experiment goes well and let us know if you have any more questions!
