Using Catsup to show blood viscosity in Disbetes

Post by RN4urHealth »

Dear Sciencebuddies Experts—I am a nurse who teaches low literacy adults on Diabetes about Diabetes. I have seen some writes ups about science fair projects about using diluted catsup to show the various viscosity of the blood at different blood glucose levels (ie normal, 140, 200, 400) but I cannot find the recipe anywhere to make the concentrations. Can you help me? TY

The Ask the Expert forums are for students in grades K-12 who are doing science experiments.

I did a quick Google search and found this paper. Perhaps this will help you!
