materials list typo?

Post by rostock »

Concerning the Science Fair Project: "How Does Soil Affect the pH of Water" (linked below), are the dimensions for the sediment tubes in the materials list correct? 25 cm x 5cm? (250mm x 50mm?) We have not been able to find tubes even near the specified size and most website descriptions give their tube dimensions in mm not in cm like on the materials list. The largest sediment tubes I can find are about half the dimensions required for this experiment. Wondering if there is a typo in the materials list... Could you give the volume needed? Would clear juice bottles work instead? Thank you!

Hello!

Thank you for your post. In a bullet point under the one that states the size of the sediment tubes suggested, there is one that says, "Small deli containers, like the kind sour cream or cottage cheese come in, also work." So any container big enough to fit your other materials should work fine. :D :D
