Plant growth

I'm doing a project on the effect of LED lighting on plant growth.

Thanks to Ask an Expert I've decided on using geraniums for my plant!

But now I'm having trouble finding out how much water to use.
How often and how much do I have to water the geranium plants??

Hi,

I'm not a botanist, but from what I could find on the web people recommend watering the geranium and then waiting until the soil is completely dry (probably the better part of a week) before watering it again. How have you planted your plants? If they are in pots that drain, it won't matter how much water you put in, but if the pots cannot drain I would err on the side of not putting a whole lot of water in at a time.

Obviously, you want to water all of your plants with the same amount and on the same time schedule. I would just try maybe a half-cup to a cup per pot (assuming fairly decent-sized pots) and see how long that takes to dry.
