Hi Carley,

Can you give us some more detailed information about your project and question? My guess is that we don't have an expert in this exact area, but we can help you generally.

You should also find some research papers that have done similar experiments to your project idea. Here's one that I found: http://clearinghouse.missouriwestern.ed ... ts/230.php

Since you are in middle school, that paper is going to be advanced for you. Just keep reading it over and over and look up terms you don't understand. Eventually you'll understand it! It's perfectly normal for it to look alien at first and be confusing.

That paper also has additional references at the bottom that you should try to find online.

Here are some Science Buddies articles about research papers you may find helpful:

You could also try to find some "popular" science articles that refer to these types of papers, but are written for non-scientists. (here's an example: http://www.cerebromente.org.br/n15/mente/musica.html)
Stuck? Check out our project guides!

Well,
I have done several experiments with different types of music (Pop, Rock, Rap, Classical, ext.)
All i need to do is have an expert's opinion on which type of music is better for memorization.

Hi!
The best way to find out this last piece of information is to go through scientific articles with expert opinions. The Google Scholar function is great for this type of research, and it will help turn up legitimate articles that are often backed up with research. Hope this helps!
