Solar Powered Desalination Experiment observations

Post by paulnalbandian »

What are some of the key observations I should be making as I begin running the experiment? I think these are some good ones but would love to hear others.

1. Amount of salt in the water before and after the experiment.
2. Amount of time to desalinate the water
3. effects of full sun, partial sun, and no sun on both 1 and 2 above

What other observations make sense to record as observations?

Thank you!

Hello Paul,
Have you looked at the Science Buddies projects on water desaliniaztion? Those projects have a good introduction with references that might help you identify important observations to make. The procedures sections will also help you organized your lab notebook and prepare graphs for display with your results.
