How does the Density of the liquid affect how fast it freeze

Hi,
My science fair question is how does the density of the liquid affect its freezing?
I am testing out 4 liquids: oil, water, dish soap, and Tide laundry detergent. I have already done my experiment... And I came to the conclusion that the density does not matter, yet the chemical composition does.

I am preparing my notebook (almost done) and starting my backboard.
Please let me know if you think anything should be improved or if you have any concerns ASAP. Science fair is NOVEMBER 17!

Thanks! :)

Hi 21pullelalaya,

It sounds like your project went well; your result matches what I would expect. If you want to double check that you are on track with your notebook and presentation board, check out the "Checklist" on these articles from the Science Buddies Project Guide:

http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-f ... #checklist
http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-f ... #checklist

If you can answer "yes" to each of these points, then your project is probably in great shape! Let us know if we can help with anything else!

I just wanted to make sure there was no introduction this year.. Just an abstract? Thanks

Hi 21pullelalaya,

Whether or not you need an abstract AND introduction will depend on your teacher's requirements. Different teachers have different expectations, so check with your teacher to see what she or he is looking for.

Hi 21pullelaya,

I'm sorry I did not see your post until today! Science Buddies has a really helpful article about what to put on a display board (see link below). It also has some tips for making your board look nice.
