Hi Maja,

Sorry, but I've suggested the most reasonable ways I can think of to account for a weight that's too high after washing the yarn (leftover water and/or shampoo). Other possibilities might be contamination of the yarn after washing (something accidentally added), errors with weighing the yarn samples or sample identification mix-ups.

Once in a while things go amiss in an experiment and it's difficult to find out what went wrong. Sometimes the best way forward is to review the procedure and try again while double-checking each step.
