Re: need help with my science fair project
Hi Uri,
Although I'm retired now I worked as a chemist in the research and development department of a consumer product company.
1. After high school, I was in undergraduate and graduate schools for about 5 years. I earned bachelor and master of science degrees.
2. I always enjoyed trying to find answers to questions and I liked tinkering with experiments in the lab. Also, scientists have a range of employment opportunities available to them so there's a great chance of finding interesting work to do.
3. I enjoyed my work very much. There were always interesting and challenging projects to work on.
4. A typical work week was about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Sometimes the work required more time and for short periods my work week was more like 9 or 10 hours a day.
5. I did enjoy working with other scientists as well as colleagues with expertise in many other disciplines.
I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
A. Norman
