Help with Devising an Algorithm for Solving Rubik's Cube

Post by a1f3188d48c34e0aafd89440a292c073 »

I am in the middle of doing this project. I tried out all 3 move sequences to create an algorithm, but for me it wasn't working. It says in the procedure that if it doesn't work with only 3 of the mentioned move sequences, I have to create other sequences in addition to those to solve the cube. I do not understand how I am supposed to do that.

Hi,

I'm assuming that you're working on the project described here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... be#summary

You have to define any additional sequences you need to solve the cube. My suggestion is to write down the additional sequences you needed in the same format as the move explanations shown in the project background. Once completed the 3 sequences from the project and your additional sequences form your algorithm.

I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
