We know that light acts both as particle and wave.
Solar panel uses the particle method to create energy. And the light travels slower in the glass medium than the air.
If an glass is placed above the solar panel, will the light travel as wave in the glass medium and then again shift to particle to knock the electron present in the solar cell to create the photoelectron.. ?
My doubt is will light suddenly change from the wave form to particle form...?!

Hi Maneesh,

Light is both a wave and a particle "at the same time" (it doesn't "switch" between the two). Thus, even if glass is placed in front of a solar panel, the light that reaches the solar panel will still result in electricity.

This forum is for science projects, so if you are attempting an experiment, let us know what your hypothesis and experimental ideas might be. Otherwise, there are better forums online for discussing conceptual questions.

Best,
Charles
