I am doing the wifi signal project and it says I have to use a wireless router. Is it okay if I use a wired router?

Hi,
Are you talking about a router with both wired and wireless connection? If so, yes that can work. Since one of the main objective of the experiment is to look at the WiFi strength at various location / distance, you will need a router that's capable of wireless communication. Anything else that it can do, such as the wired connection, is a bonus. :)

Good Luck with your experiment!
