Hod do I measure Methane

Post by sdides »

I want to create an atmosphere that is 0% methane, then 25%, then 50%, then 100%. I a going to test the rise in temperature of each. My problem is how so I measure methane so that I can determine what percentage I have? I may also try other gasses such as CO2

Hi,

If you do a google search on “methane analysis” or “methane sensor” you will find multiple ideas on how to measure methane concentration. Be aware that some mixtures of methane and oxygen are quite explosive, so it is important to try to avoid creating them, and to take appropriate safety precautions to avoid risks of injury to persons and property.
