Please Answer my Question!
Which foods do not change blood glucose levels drastically and thus, are considered safe for diabetic patients to consume?
This is my sub question for my science fair and I was wondering if you could help me answer it because I couldn't find an answer for it. So I decided to ask an expert. Please help!
Thank You!

Re: Please Answer my Question!
Hi ,
Welcome to Science Buddies! You have picked a great topic for a science project. For your question, you should do a search for "glycemic index" or "glycemic load." This should give you a large number of sites like the following with specific information on foods that are safe (and less safe) for diabetics to consume.
http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitnes ... foods.html
The following website includes the glycemic load number and other nutritional information for a wide variety of foods:

Please do post again if you have any other questions.
