Lots of chemical pollutants are created both by nature and human activities. Does the air and water get purified by nature or it remains polluted?

Hello there,

The Ask an Expert forums are aimed towards guiding science fair projects for students. If this question is part of a science project, please offer additional details about the project so that we can help you further. I'd also invite you to check out our "Project Ideas" selection here in case there are any ideas you can pursue that are similar to your question: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... e-projects Otherwise, if this is not in service of a larger project, I'm afraid this falls beyond the scope of our forums. Thank you!

Hi!

Here is a Science Buddies lesson plan on a related topic, air pollution as it relates to fossil fuels and the greenhouse effect. https://www.sciencebuddies.org/teacher- ... use-effect
The actual lesson plan is only available to teachers, but if you scroll down on the page, there is a summary with points of exploration you can research online or investigate on your own.

Moreover, there are two Science Buddies projects you can use to study the topic.
This is one on air pollution: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... -pollution
This one explores air particles and air quality: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ir-quality

I am unsure whether this is a question you are looking to investigate for a project, either through research or an experimental design. If that is the case, I can try to provide further guidance. An appropriate question might be "To what extent are air and water with chemical pollutants purified by nature?"

Hope that helps!
