Why cant we create electricity from dark energy

This is an extremely difficult question to answer, as not even the scientists that have hypothesized about the existence of dark energy have any idea what it is or how it works, nor is it proven that it exists.

Is this in reference to some specific science fair project?

i am assuming why we can not harvest the power of dark energy is because 1 how would you use this energy and contain it ans 2 dark energy is entirely theoretical how would you use a theoretical energy that accelerates the growth of the universe it would be impossible to use for energy purposes.
