Isomers of butanol

Post by chloehassall »

What causes the isomers of butanol, (1-butanol, 2-butanol and isobutanol) to each have a different heat of combustion?

Hi there,

Is this for a project where you are testing heats of combustion? If so, it would be great to hear more about what you hypothesized when setting up the experiment, so we can tie your observed results back to your hypothesis.
